Woke up to a rainy Christmas morning....Headed to the beach to take a look....

Foggy too!

The sun peeking through was beautiful on a line of pelicans....so quiet....

Time for some Christmas coffee....

and cinnamon rolls....my mother inlaw's recipe going back a long time...
but I doubled the gooey pecan part...

Made the dough last nite and allowed to raise slowly over night.

lots of butter in the bottom of the pan

Add the brown sugar and pecans...

and oh, yes...corn syrup.....

then mix the filling...a little tropical plus ginormous raisins.

with cinnamon and more brown sugar....

then roll out the dough..

and butter it up.....

and top with the cinnamon, brown sugar, fruit mix.

roll em up.....

Slice em....

and arrange in the pan on top of the yummy sugary buttery pecan topping...

in the oven for 20 minutes....
get to test out my new oven thermometer Santa brought....
and it says my oven's right on....
and here they are fresh out outta the oven....

and then tipped on their head.....all gooey on top....So EASY & YUM!

off for a little bike ride to round out the day....Cheers!
