Sweet Deal!

Summertime in the south requires tea. Enough cold weather and hot coffee for me, now after a hot run in the morning, I head to Mickey D's for a cold one....

In the south, soda sales drop and the consumption of Sweet Tea Rises with the heat. For a mere $1.00, you can fill a 32 oz cup with enuf ice to last the day and top it with tea. At 230 Kcal and 38g. sugar (that's equal to about 9 teaspoons of sugar) it's pretty sweet. I swear they use corn syrup, but the recipe says no....just good old sugar. Me, I prefer unsweet topped with a little lemonade and maybe a splash of the sweet. Refreshing and a boost of caffeine for the day. Cheers!
